Our work is about helping people in society who maybe don’t have the advantages of others, we run our business like any other, we pay our wages and our bills, but whatever is left goes to helping our volunteers

Unlike other waste businesses you may be considering we don’t work purely to advance the interests of shareholders, the money we make goes back into the business to help our volunteers.

All your recycling that is collected by us goes firstly to our unit, where it is separated by our volunteers into groups, plastic bottles, polythene, cardboard, glass, steel cans, aluminium cans, tubs, trays etc…

We move on all this to larger processors in Sheffield, all categories are recycled in the UK where possible, but other materials (especially plastic) may go further afield.

We care very much about the success of our recycling process. Cardboard and paper can be very easily contaminated by other materials that contain liquids. We want to recycle everything, and clean material has a much better chance of being recycled.

It doesn’t, your recycling has very little chance of making it to the other end.

We have always felt that a contract only is good for the service provider and not the customer, big companies want to hold you to a contract for a year and will do their utmost to keep you in the long term. We are always contactable to discuss any changes you wish to make to your service and will provide you with a yearly waste transfer note, which is all you need to cover your duty of care.
